I am sorry that I have neglected you over the past couple of weeks. But I am now back home, and after having a couple of days break from photography, am ready to get on with finishing this year's CY365.
Our experience in Nepal was wonderful and we met some great people. The children are delightful and so happy - with so very little. The children I met were those whose parents could afford to send them to private schools, yet when compared to Australia, they have so little. It is indeed a poor country. The experience of volunteering was one I would love to do again, especially now that I know more about the schools and the systems.
I am going to go through my photos of Nepal at some point in time and get them organised into a gallery of their own. The internet speed was just too patchy and slow to get photos uploaded in Nepal, so I'll fit that in … sometime.

Day 344 ...
Decorating
I have the Christmas tree up, lights on and most of the decorations on the tree. All the other decorations are spread out on our dining room table awaiting placement. Good thing we usually eat outside on the patio!
Christmas will be spent at our place this year and all the children and grandchildren will be here. As usual we are looking forward to having the family together. This is what Christmas means to me - being with the ones you love and having a fun filled day with lots of food, drinks, swimming, playing, relaxing and of course, watching the little ones opening their gifts from Santa.
